And if there's one thing we've come to believe, it's that like attracts like. We put out there exactly who we are and what we're about, and the more we do it, the more our kind of people find us. This is where you come in. We're so happy you made your way to our front door, and we'd be so honored to create something beautiful with you. We want your photos to help you remember how your day felt, not just how it looked, to capture the mood of the day, not just the prettiness.
Our biggest priority (and reason we started S&S in the first place) is finding bomb couples we connect deeply with and who want to create amazing things together. We wanna take care of ya, it’s pretty simple.
Planning our wedding felt overwhelming at times, like a huge wedding industry was churning away, waiting to chew us up and spit us back out.
Yessss, you’re planning your wedding! Man do we know what that’s like— we planned ours from a different country in under four months. And as soon as we got engaged, we were immediately bombarded by CHOICES.
Focus on what’s important. Let the rest work itself out.
We suddenly felt like all our design choices were wrong, like we weren’t doing the right shit, and like we would end up spending our money in all the wrong places. It felt so disempowering.
But through all of that, a little clear voice gave us the best piece of advice we got while planning our wedding:
• Photographers who bring the good vibes and your friends think are part of the crew.
• Photogs who prioritize being a step ahead of you on your wedding day so you can focus on the good shit.
• Simple, straightforward booking.
• No weird fees later on.
• A deep, trust filled relationship that brings bomb photos to life.
One of the best things about your wedding is that it’s often the very first big project that you do TOGETHER. The world debut of who you are as a couple. Your priorities. Your aesthetic. Your personalities. Which is why the bland big-box weddings that everyone is trying to sell you make us shiver a little. Think of the things that really speak to who you two are, your priorities and goals for how your day will feel. Are you into architecture and florals? Focus on a venue and a florist. Are you foodies? Find a caterer who really gets you. And while you’re compiling this short list, remember that the photos are the very last thing that will outlive your wedding day. The food will be gone, the guests won’t remember the favors, and the flowers will wilt.
But to have documentation— real deep heartfelt bomb documentation— that’s the stuff that stands the test of time. We didn’t know enough, as we planned our own wedding, to focus on photography. I’ve kicked myself about it ever since. So we’ve designed our entire experience to reflect exactly what we WISH we would have gotten for ourselves, if we knew then what we were doing.

WAIT, 8 HOURS? I WANTED YOU GUYS FROM 7AM TO 2AM!
As much as we'd like to deliver you espresso in the morning (and happily will!), most folks just don't need us for that long. We’ve shot many a wedding in our day (cue the grandpa smoking a pipe on his porch) and after experiencing every possible combination of schedules, locations, and hours, we can say with confidence that eight hours will suit most wedding days perfectly. Pre-concealer, pre-whiskey, those photos just don’t tend to see the light of day— but all this being said, we’ve also shot 12 hour days where it didn’t feel like quite enough coverage. Let’s talk and create your ideal schedule together. We just don't want to charge you for hours you don't need us.
WHEN DO WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
You’ll have your final gallery within one month of your wedding date. We’re perfectionists who love letting the creative process live its full lifespan, but we don’t think it’s nice to make you wait forever.
DO OUR PHOTOS ARRIVED EDITED?
Absolutely. They don’t leave our mitts until they've been carefully curated, hand-edited, and organized to tell your story. And we don't charge extra for editing, because it’s SO weird when photographers do that. This is your WEDDING for Pete’s sake. Also who is Pete.
HOW ARE OUR PHOTOS DELIVERED?
Thumb drives get lost or damaged, and make it difficult to share images with family and friends. No one has CD players on their computer anymore. And carrier pigeons are very passé. We listened to what our couples were asking for, so you’ll get all your images, fully edited and in high resolution, via your very own online gallery. It’s easy to download them in one click, share the link with everyone in the wedding party, and order prints directly from the site. Your photos will be safe and sound, you won’t have to dig through old boxes for your thumb drive, and everyone happily lives in the 21st century together.
TELL ME HOW WE GET PRINTS.
Ok, we love the corner drugstore printing machines as much as the next person, don’t get us wrong. But we’ve had so many rolls of film ruined by terrible printers with odd colors that we can only guarantee our images when you order them directly through your online album. With just a few clicks, your order will begin printing at our trusted professional printers. And they’ll land right on your doorstep, ready for framing— no errands to run, no waiting around because Christopher the printer guy hasn’t come back from lunch break yet, no forgetting your thumb drive at home every time you plan on printing. Just high quality professional printing, quick turnaround, and easy to order multiple deliveries— so your mom won’t have to ask you a million times to mail her prints (you’re welcome).

CAN YOU HELP US FIND VENDORS?
Hell yeah. We’ve got a bomb network of makeup artists, florists, DJs, the whole deal— and we’d love to recommend them to you! Our biggest piece of advice for your wedding: DO NOT WORK WITH DICKS. Life’s too short.
WHAT'S YOUR TRAVEL PHILOSOPHY?
Pro. We've been living on airplanes since 2016.
We live in Chicago, but spend lots of our time in New York and the West Coast. We find ourselves in Austin all the time. We’ve shot weddings in Panama and Thailand and Mexico and down the street. We’re down to travel, but most people would say that— we’re just really, really efficient at it. Let us know where you’re getting married and we’ll find a way to get there.
WE WANT AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT TOO-- HOW DO WE BOOK THAT?
Love it. Engagement shoots are the perfect way to get to know each other and create some bomb art that you can use for your invites, website, and all the walls of your house (kidding, unless you’re into that). We have optional hair and makeup add-ons that are super affordable and take your images from great to HOLY SHIT, and we coordinate a shoot that’s creative and represents you as a couple. In short, they’re awesome, just let us know when you’d like the images by so we can make sure we can get you on the schedule with plenty of time to spare.
WE'RE READY TO BOOK! HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?
Easy: tell us you’re ready so we can saber the champagne and scare our pets! We’ll send over a contract for you to peek at and an invoice for 50% of your total. Once we get your deposit and a signed contract, your date’s ALL YOURS, BABY! This is gonna be so fun.
